As you step through the front door, you’ll be welcomed into the chalet’s main open-plan living area. This space exudes grandeur and charm, featuring luxury furnishings, exposed dark wood and brickwork, eye-catching artwork, and a striking centerpiece fireplace. The plush, high-back sofas are ideally positioned for gathering and discussing your ski plans while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace and the picturesque snowy views through the chalet’s large windows.

A massive wooden dining table in one corner of the main living floor provides the perfect setting for evening banquets. Seated under signature lighting, your entire group can dine together in comfort while taking in views of the snowy woodland surrounding the chalet. The fully equipped, private kitchen, tucked away from the main living area, is perfect for your chalet team to prepare meals. On evenings when you prefer to explore, Chamonix’s best bars and restaurants are just a short distance away.

The chalet is also well-equipped for relaxation and entertainment. The indoor swimming pool, which can be converted into an indoor-outdoor pool by opening its glass doors, is complete with hydrojets, offering the perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes. The pool is set apart from the living area, allowing parents to relax while keeping an eye on children enjoying the water. On the lower ground floor, you’ll find a sauna and steam room separated by a shower, creating a zen space for further relaxation. A massage table can be added to this area for a soothing treatment. The lower level also includes gym facilities and a cozy TV snug lounge.

The chalet offers 6 generously sized bedrooms, ensuring every guest enjoys a luxurious stay. A children’s bunk bedroom, sleeping 4, is located on the lower floor and features en-suite facilities, as well as direct access to the TV lounge—perfect for family ski holidays. Another double en-suite bedroom is set apart from the main living floor for added privacy. Upstairs, you’ll find four additional double en-suite bedrooms, each occupying a corner of the chalet with balcony access to take full advantage of the surrounding views.

For ski preparations, the chalet’s garage is equipped with heated boot warmers to ensure your gear is dry and ready for the slopes. The SONOS sound system throughout the chalet brings the comforts of home to your Alpine retreat.

Nestled in the tranquil hamlet of Lavancher, the chalet offers easy access to skiing in Chamonix, with both Grands Montets and La Flégère ski areas just a 3- and 5-minute drive away, respectively. For the adventurous, it’s even possible to ski back to the chalet through the woodland behind it, though this is recommended only with a guide.

Chamonix town center, with its vibrant shops, bars, and restaurants, is approximately an 8-minute drive from the chalet. The lively atmosphere and array of amenities make it a must-visit during your French Alps ski holiday.

Chalet Alta is available on either a self-catered or catered basis. When taken on a catered basis, prices include full chalet catering and a complimentary drinks bar. A driver service can be added on request.
